The client faced a significant challenge: finding a suitable retaining wall system that could be installed in a tight-access area. After consulting multiple suppliers and contractors without success, the client turned to WOTBLOCK. Our decorative interlocking blocks were selected for their functionality and aesthetic appeal, ensuring the solution met both structural and visual requirements.

To address the client’s needs, WOTBLOCK conducted a site visit to assess the job’s unique requirements, including access challenges and potential risks. Leveraging our expertise and specialist equipment—tracked skid steers, a Takeuchi TB257FR with a Nox tiltrotator, and compact delivery vehicles—we provided a seamless, efficient solution.
Execution and Challenges
The project began with a 3D design layout, giving the client a clear visualization and ensuring alignment on expectations. The team faced challenges, including:
- Rainy Conditions: Slippery access roads led to one vehicle slipping off-track.
- Footpath Interference: Despite signage and barriers, pedestrians ignored the closed footpath, requiring work stoppages.
These challenges were swiftly resolved. The team offloaded concrete into a dumper to free the vehicle, avoiding damage to both the equipment and the environment. On-site staff redirected pedestrians to alternative routes.

The result was a stunning retaining wall that seamlessly blended with the natural stone surroundings, exceeding the client’s expectations. Benefits included:
